SUCCESS: Overcoming Obscurity.

As we journey through life, there are times when we feel empty; we seem not to fathom the purpose of our existence: why we are where we are.
We strive but don't seem to get to our designated mark or point. Worst still, we seem to be distracted and held down by the  noises around  us. It seems more like one step forward and two step backward.

At such point, we are tempted to give up on our dreams and aspiration; our quest for a successful future become obscured by the uncertainty of what tomorrow may bring.
How then do we navigate this path of obscurity to the destination of success?

Interestingly, there are fundamental questions we tend to overlook but they are a bearing to the path we decide to take. Such questions include: "What is your definition of Success?" and "Why do you want to succeed?".

Indeed, each person has his/her own definition of success but What is your own perspective of success?  and what is your yardstick for measuring success
Is success all about amassing wealth and fame? Is it all about garnering knowledge and academic qualifications? Is it about having a booming business/empire or getting married to the love of your life and raising a beautiful and wonderful family?.

Someone once said that people lose out in life because of these 4 reasons:
  1. Being myopic to opportunity
  2. Looking down on opportunities
  3. Lacking understanding
  4. Failing to act quickly enough

Below are some assertion; do they in anyway give an insight to what what success is and the reason to succeed?

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream in the dark recess of the night awake in the day to find all was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, and make it possible."

T.E. Lawrence

"Shouts and Joy comes after victory, but it takes FAITH to shout before victory ! "

J.U. Anumba

"No matter what one does, regardless of failure or success, the experience is a form of success in itself.
Jack Ma

"In this world, there are things that are deemed unfathomable, but there is nothing in this world that cannot be done. The depth of one's ambition is determined by the potential of one's future.

Each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.

Remember, it's not by power or might, but the Grace of God in You.

PROBLEMS AND PAIN !

Life is Difficult! -   As absurd as it sounds, this tends to be a great truth, one of the greatest truths.
It is a great truth because when we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult- once we truly understand and accept it – then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.

Those things that hurt, Instruct.
Most do not fully see this truth that life is difficult. Instead they moan more or less incessantly, noisily or subtly, about the enormity of their problems, their burdens, and their difficulties as if life were generally easy, as if life should be easy. They voice their belief, noisily or subtly, that their difficulties represent a unique kind of affliction that should not be and that has somehow been especially visited upon them, or else upon their families, their tribe, their class, their nation, their race or even their species and not upon others.

Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? Do we want to teach our children to solve them? What makes life difficult is that the process of confronting and solving them is a painful one.  Problems depending upon their nature, evoke in us frustration or grief of sadness or loneliness or guilt or regret or anger or fear or anxiety or anguish or despair. These are uncomfortable feelings, often very uncomfortable and as painful as any kind of physical pain. Indeed, it is because of the pain that events or conflicts engender in us all that we call them problems. And since life poses an endless series of problems, life is always difficult and is full of pain as well as Joy.
Yet it is in this whole process of meeting and solving problems that life has its meaning.
Problems are cutting edge that distinguishes between success and failure. Problems call forth our courage and our wisdom; indeed, they create our Courage and our Wisdom. It is only because of problems that we grow mentally and spiritually. When we desire to encourage the growth of the human spirit, we challenge and encourage the human capacity to solve problems, just as in school, problems are deliberately set for children to solve. It is through the pain of confronting and resolving problems that we learn. As Benjamin Franklyn said, “Those things that hurt, instruct”. It is for this reason that wise people learn not to dread but actually welcome problems and actually to welcome the pain of problems.

Most of us are not so wise. Fearing the pain involved, almost all of us to a greater or lesser degree, attempt to avoid problems. We procrastinate, hoping that they will go away. We ignore them, forget them, pretend they do not exist. We even take drugs to assist us in ignoring them, so that by deadening our self to the pain we can forget the problems that cause the pain. We attempt to get out of them rather than suffer through them. This tendency to avoid problems and the emotional suffering inherent in them is the primary basis of all human mental illness. In any case, when we avoid legitimate suffering that result from dealing with problems, we avoid the growth that problems demand from us. It is for this reason that in chronic mental illness we stop growing, we become stuck. And without healing, the human spirit begins to shrivel.

Therefore let us inculcate in ourselves and in our children the means of achieving mental and spiritual health. By this I mean let us teach ourselves and those we love the necessity for suffering and the value thereof, the need to face problems directly and to experience the pain involved.

Now the Question: How do we deal with problems and the pain associated with problems? Are there any tool(s) required to solve life’s problems and suffering?

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

People always come into your Life for a Reason, a Season and a Lifetime. When you figure out which it is, do you know exactly what to do?

When Someone is in your life for a REASON,
It is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON,
It is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a Season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.

LIFETIME
, Relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.

It is said that Love is Blind but Friendship is Clairvoyant...REMAIN BLESSED.

DO NOT !!!

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.

Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other....

Do not be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly.

Do not dismiss your dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Keep Having a wonderful Day and Remain Blessed.
