HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BEGINNING.

Today, I reflect upon the day of my Birth and the Journey thus far in my earthly mission; the purpose of my birth and the essence of my existence in this beautiful World with its seeming hurdles and conquests. I come to realise that indeed, LIFE IS FULL OF BEGININIGS.  They are presented every day and every hour to every person. Most beginnings are small and appear trivial and insignificant, but in reality they are the most important things in Life.

In the material Word, see how everything proceeds from small beginnings. The mightiest river is at first a rivulet over which the grasshoppers could leap; the great flood commences with a few drops of rain; the sturdy oak, that hat has endured the storms of a thousand winters, was once an acorn.
In the Spiritual World, consider how the greatest things proceed from smallest beginnings. A simple Word from God brought forth light to a dark and void world; He created heaven and earth; man and all creatures of the world; from one man, came generations born and yet to be born. Indeed, a word from God brought forth me, a being full of Life and inherent potentials. You are definitely not left out; you a product of a wonderful beginning, created in the Image and likeness of God.

A light fancy may be the inception of a wonderful invention or an immortal work of art; a spoken sentence may turn the tide of history; a pure though entertained may lead to the exercise of a world-wide regenerative power.

Have you yet discovered the vast importance of beginnings? Do you really know what is involved in a beginning? Do you know the number of beginnings you are continuously making and do you realise their full importance?

A beginning is a cause, and as such it must be followed by an effect or a train of effects and the effect will be of the same nature as the cause. A beginning also presupposes an ending, a consummation, achievement, or goal. A gate leads to a path, and a path to some destination; so a beginning leads to results, and results lead to completion. Indeed, there are right beginnings and wrong beginnings followed by effects of a like nature.

If your beginnings were right, pray for the Grace to keep it up and to persevere till the end. However, do not dwell upon the sins and mistakes of yesterday so exclusively as to have no energy and mind left for living rightly today, and do not think that the sins of yesterday can prevent you from living aright today. Begin today right with the world, and aided by the accumulated experiences of all your past days, live it better than your previous days; but you cannot possibly live it better unless you begin it better.

Seek the Grace of God in all that you do; be inspired by a word from God and let the beginning of all your endeavors for the rest of your life be a right beginning that leads to a fulfilling and happy end irrespective of the obstacles, challenges and hurdles that may present itself.

You are Blessed beyond your imaginations and expectations…
 You are God’s Own!

REMINISCENCE: Our Deepest Fear.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our Light not our darkness that most frighten us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a Child of GOD.

Your playing small does not serve the World.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;  it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own Light Shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
 our presence automatically liberates others.

Remember, you are who you say you are!

SUCCESS: Overcoming Obscurity.

As we journey through life, there are times when we feel empty; we seem not to fathom the purpose of our existence: why we are where we are.
We strive but don't seem to get to our designated mark or point. Worst still, we seem to be distracted and held down by the  noises around  us. It seems more like one step forward and two step backward.

At such point, we are tempted to give up on our dreams and aspiration; our quest for a successful future become obscured by the uncertainty of what tomorrow may bring.
How then do we navigate this path of obscurity to the destination of success?

Interestingly, there are fundamental questions we tend to overlook but they are a bearing to the path we decide to take. Such questions include: "What is your definition of Success?" and "Why do you want to succeed?".

Indeed, each person has his/her own definition of success but What is your own perspective of success?  and what is your yardstick for measuring success
Is success all about amassing wealth and fame? Is it all about garnering knowledge and academic qualifications? Is it about having a booming business/empire or getting married to the love of your life and raising a beautiful and wonderful family?.

Someone once said that people lose out in life because of these 4 reasons:
  1. Being myopic to opportunity
  2. Looking down on opportunities
  3. Lacking understanding
  4. Failing to act quickly enough

Below are some assertion; do they in anyway give an insight to what what success is and the reason to succeed?

"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream in the dark recess of the night awake in the day to find all was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, and make it possible."

T.E. Lawrence

"Shouts and Joy comes after victory, but it takes FAITH to shout before victory ! "

J.U. Anumba

"No matter what one does, regardless of failure or success, the experience is a form of success in itself.
Jack Ma

"In this world, there are things that are deemed unfathomable, but there is nothing in this world that cannot be done. The depth of one's ambition is determined by the potential of one's future.

Each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.

Remember, it's not by power or might, but the Grace of God in You.

WHY ARE YOU AFRAID?

Too many people do not really live.
They remain trapped in their own past, forever turning over their mind events of the past, the wrong decisions made, the wrong turns taken, the “might-have-been” of twenty, thirty, maybe fifty years.

Others are trapped in the anxiety about the future. While they forget that the only day we have to live is today, the present, with all its hours and minutes for being, loving, doing, growing, giving thanks, helping, sharing, believing, reaching out to others.

In the Our Father we pray: “Give us this day our daily bread” . There is wisdom here, asking only for the needs of the present. The same wisdom is even more vividly expressed in the Hail Mary.
There are only two moments of life that we are sure of, the present moment and the moment of death.
We ask Mary to pray for us at these two moments. To say this prayer and mean it is to live intensely in the present, free from worry about the past or fear of the future.

A young lady lay dying in hospital. The fatal cancer caused her intense pain. A priest saw her five days before she died. She was at peace with herself, with God, with death that she saw approaching. Though still in the prime of life, there was no complaint, not a trace of self-pity, as her days on earth was fast coming to an end.
“I thank God for the years I have lived”, she said. “The only prayer that I can say now is “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for me a sinner now and at the hour of my death”. She saw that for her the moment of death and the “now” would soon be one. And so she lived her last days believing, trusting, loving, praying intensely as she had done all her life.

If it is a tragedy to die young; it is a far greater tragedy to pass many years on earth without living at all.

Don’t allow the gift of today to be devoured by regrets for yesterday or fears of tomorrow.

God is aware of all that you worry about he has waited and is still waiting for you to call on him irrespective of how hard it is because of the troubles of your past and fear of the future. He knows the hurt you feel, the weight and guilt that you carry. Allow him to forgive these guilts and heal the pain of the past.
Continue to Trust in God and let your life begin today as you walk in freedom without any fear, guilt and pain of the past.

God will Forgive, Heal and walk with your every step of the way.. Remain Blessed.

THE PRAYER OF A HUMBLE SOUL.

Never will I pray for the material things of the world. I am not calling to a servant to bring me good. I am not ordering an innkeeper to provide me with room. Never will I seek delivery of gold, love, good health, petty victories, fame, success, or happiness. Only for guidance will I pray, that I may be shown the way to acquire these things, and my prayer will always be answered.
The guidance I seek may come, or the guidance I seek may not come, but are not both of these an answer? If a child seeks bread from his father and it is not forthcoming has not the father answered?

I will pray for guidance, and I will pray in this manner –

Oh creator of all things, help me. For this day I go out into the world naked and alone, and without your hand to guide me I will wander far from the path which leads to success and happiness.
•I ask not for gold or garments or even opportunities equal to my ability; instead, guide me so that I may acquire ability equal to my opportunities.
• You have taught the lion and the eagle how to hunt and prosper with teeth and claw. Teach me how to hunt with words and prosper with love so that I may be a lion among men and an eagle in the market place.
• Help me to remain humble through obstacles and failures; yet hide not from mine eyes the prize that will come with victory.
• Assign me tasks to which others have failed; yet guide me to pluck the seeds of success from their failures. Confront me with fears that will temper my spirit; yet endow me with courage to laugh at my misgivings.
• Spare me sufficient days to reach my goals; yet help me to live this day as though it be my last.
• Guide me in my words that they may bear fruit; yet silence me from gossip that none be maligned.
• Discipline me in the habit of trying and trying again; yet show me the way to make use of the law of averages. Favor me with alertness to recognize opportunity; yet endow me with patience which will concentrate my strength.
• Bathe me in good habits that the bad ones may drown; yet grant me compassion for weakness in others. Suffer me to know that all things shall pass; yet help me to count my blessings today.
• Expose me to hate so it not be a stranger; yet fill my cup with love to turn strangers into friends.
• But all these things be only if thy will. I am a small and a lonely grape  clutching the vine yet though hast made me different from all others. Verily, there must be a special place for me. Help me. Show me the way.
• Let me become all you planned for me when my seed was planted and selected by you to sprout in the vineyard of the world.
Help this humble man.
Guide me, God
